Buttons Have Been Ordered

The buttons are ordered and will arrive midweek next week, possibly in time for the general membership meeting. Buttons are free to all Guild represented employees and feature the People Behind the Newspaper logo. We’ll get them distributed to the membership through shop stewards as soon as possible.
We’ll also be passing out a second button. The second button is a solidarity button that we’re doing in conjunction with the central Maine newspaper unions. (As you’ll see below) they’re struggling with negotiations so buttons have been procured for all union members at all three papers to show support for fellow members of the Portland Newspaper Guild members in our Waterville unit and CWA unit members at the Kennebec Journal.
