Portland unit
TNG Legal Services has accepted and will pay for the legal costs of the ULP related to not paying negotiations team members. The law firm of Barr & Camens is currently drafting a complaint. The Guild and company have continued to do sub committee work in the job description area.
Waterville unit
The Guild and company met in Waterville on August 24 for negotiations. The meeting was very short. Neither side was willing to make changes to its previous proposals. The main point of contention continues to be the company’s proposal around jurisdiction, which would allow outsourcing of Guild work.
